Inside Google’s culture of relentless self-surveying

Yeah, I did a phone screen a couple weeks ago to actually BE one of these entry-level I-O psychologists at Google. Honestly, it was slightly unprofessional to start, i.e., the recruiter was 40 minutes late for our call. But the process was very transparent: Walk through the resume, why I’m interested, a seriously intense situational behavioral interview question that was very job-related, and then a very transparent overview of next steps in the selection process. So, I guess they are moving in a great direction – however, a slight caveat is that this position is also basically non-technical. The whole process would have been only 4 steps including the initial phone screen. I better not divulge the specifics though in case I ever want a chance at interviewing again!
